Manoj Ganapathy was born in 1970 in a small village called Kutta, nestled in the lush valleys of Coorg, Karnataka in India. This is a land kissed by the mist and situated at the summit of several green mountains. The terrain has an awe inspiring, rugged beauty and nature was his first muse. The mountains, the monsoons, the coffee blossom, the orange and pepper trees whispered stories to him long before he knew how to hold a brush.
However, destiny infused its own palette of shadows and light. When he was just three, Manoj’s father passed away due to ill health. His younger brother was only one, and his older sister was five. His mother, widowed at 28, stood alone yet unshaken before the storm. With an unfinished house in a valley and a neglected coffee estate, she became their shelter, their strength, and their silent artist who kept painting their future with grit and grace. She sent them to boarding school, believing that education would be their wings. And she was right because he moved through nursery, primary, and high school in Coorg, eventually choosing STEM and earning a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering with distinction.
Manoj Ganapathy started his career in Mumbai, where he learned the art of dealing with corporate expectations before moving to the UAE thanks to a childhood friend’s encouragement. What started as a small role blossomed into a 30-year journey, culminating in his current position as a business head of a multinational company, leading a team of 40. The UAE became his second home, a gateway to the world of AI and Robotics.
Amidst boardrooms and business plans, something stirred quietly within him. During a week-long national holiday in the UAE, he found himself with time and a yearning. He crossed the street, bought some colors and paper, and tried painting. It was mediocre as per his high standards but something about those messy strokes felt honest. He kept going and, in the process, he became a student again while learning about light and shadow, texture and form.
Weekends became sacred for Manoj. G because his passion for art was gathering momentum. YouTube tutorials, museum visits, conversations with artists helped fuel his growing passion. He began collecting art, not just as a connoisseur, but as someone who understood the soul behind the strokes. As an Engineer, he has a fascination for geometric designs and is strongly influenced by the sacred geometry of the Universe. However, he recalls his home on the mountains with nostalgia and periodically produces works inspired by nature. Kaveri Krafted appreciates his muses and has invested in his art work.
From a farmer’s son to an engineer, from corporate corridors to creative canvases, his journey has been anything but linear. And yet, every step feels connected for Manoj Ganapathy. Every struggle, every success, every splash of color has finally led him to Kaveri Krafted.
Sometimes Manoj asks himself, “Who am I?”
Manoj is the son of the soil, a seeker of beauty, a believer in resilience. He is a husband, a father, a collector and a creator. He is someone who found his voice not in titles, but in textures. And through his art, he hopes to share that voice with you. Kaveri Krafted recognized his talent and encouraged his experiments on the canvas.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Every piece Manoj. G creates carries a story of struggle versus success and perhaps if you observe carefully, you may be able to identify yourself with one of his stories.
